Music Monday – 1970

This week both songs are from 1970 and features reggae version of Young Gifted And Black by Bob & Marcia which reached #5 in the UK Singles Chart, it was originally recorded by Nina Simone the same year.
The other song Rainbow by Marmalade reached #3 in the UK Singles Chart, both songs bring back fond memories of my last year at school.

      I was only 9 years old in 1970. That’s the year my baby sister was born. The 70s produced some great hits and many are still my favorites today.

      I really don’t remember these two groups probably because I was too young at the time, and these were not groups that my mother listened to.
