Remembering The Old Saucy British Seaside Postcards ~ Part One

Hugely popular and full of on the edge innuendo often with the same humour as the Carry On films, available at every British seaside resort during the late 50′s 60′s and 70′s till fading away i think due to the declining quality from the originals and of course the pc brigade.

Saucy for sure—I love innuendo—It’s my favorite form of comedy. The king of U.S. TV comedy right now is a sitcom called 2 and a half men. If you’ve seen it you know what I mean. If you haven’t tune it in, I don’t know how they get away with some of the innuendo they do.

Have a great weekend!

Those appear to be quite old. Pretty saucy and bold for the time no doubt. I always thought the English were less prudish about that sort of humor than many Americans. That could be changing as more and more Americans say they would bare all on a nude beach!

Maybe the economic meltdown is melting them down. :)

Yes they are old, we was less prudish hence our Carry On films with that ort of humour, unfortunately the pc brigade put a stop to and and common sense :-(

We have plenty of nude beaches they ain’t got to them yet LOL

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Funny stuff – of course you can still get these in Blackpool and the like – and if you think Carry On was bad for innuendo you should listen to Julian and Sandy from BBC radio in the 50s – clearly the audience were incredibly naive in those days :)
