The Melbourne one cracked in the heat of a forty eight degree day last year, too hot here for an eye!

  4. amandab says:

We had one built here, not quite as big I think, but it has been shut down due to bing unsafe. I hope they open it again as I know Princess would really love to ride it.

Happy WW, thanks for stopping by!

  5. Another sunny day in London 🙂 London eye prob a bit too high for me.

I’d probably get sick on that thing. Not a fan of heights. I’ll just wait below while you ride. Just saying.

We just gawked at it when we were there and decided to skip it because we had other appointments. Maybe next time I’ll make time to get on it. 🙂

    I love those rides.

Love fun fairs. Our Eye On Malaysia in Malacca was hit by scandals and disputes so I never got to go on it 🙁

  11. mizhelle says:

love it! but i have never tried to ride one 😛

  14. We skipped the London Eye the last time we were there. I wish we had gone on it at least once. It is huge!

  15. SuperJenn says:

Those are some amazing photos…of an incredibly huge structure 🙂 I think I would NOT survive that ride well 🙂

  16. Carolyn says:

I wish I’d gone on it when I was in the UK but I’m scared of heights so I chickened out!

I recently managed to blag a free trip on the London Eye courtesy of Open House London Weekend and you really do get an amazing view of the city up there. I just need to figure out how to get a free night time ride on it…

  18. Danielle says:

Awesome shots! Looks like fun and looks really high too…if I ever go to London, I’ll let the kids and the hubby ride this one…I’m not a fan of heights! lol! Thanks for sharing London. Happy WW.

I love how these are such cool shots up against that semi-gloomy London background. So cool.

  21. Susan Adcox @ Grandparents says:

We passed on the London Eye, too, the only time we visited London. But I loved looking at it, like a bit of modern art among the old buildings.

  22. Carrie says:

Some day I want to go to London. Riding the Eye will be one of the definite things I do 🙂

    Happy WW!

  23. Twitter ID:

Great shots! I can’t even remember how long it’s been since I’ve been on a Ferris wheel!

    Happy WW. 🙂

  24. the London Eye looks amazing. A ride on a big wheel is always a fun experience.

  25. Stan says:

That’s quite a contraption, like a giant bicycle wheel. I see the passenger cars are enclosed; must rain a lot, eh? It does seem a bit out of place, though, right next to those old London buildings.

  26. Steph says:

WOW!!! That is impressive. Have you ever riden the Pepsi Max at Blackpool? That ride scared the heck out of me. 😉

  27. Evan's Mom says:

    Twitter ID:

I didn’t have a chance to ride it when I was there. I wish I did, it’s always fun to ride a big wheel. I love the view of London Eye, day or night it looks spectacular!

  28. Christy says:

    Twitter ID:

Hehe cool photos. Where are the views from inside the eye?

  29. Mimi says:

Whew, that’s way to high in the air for me!

  30. Tony from Recording Studio says:

The London Eye is so visually striking in photographs, but I can’t help but think I would be bored to tears if I ever took a ride on it.
I would be counting up on my way to the top and down to the bottom, yawn.

      @ Tony
I take it you don’t like views lol, it does go very slow so you would probably have a jaw ache through yawning when you get off LOL

      Thanks for visiting 🙂

  31. oooh, that looks like fun!

  32. Twitter ID:

Lots of great pictures! I’ve never been on the London Eye, so thanks for the experience. 🙂
