The result of the latest research gives meaning to history.
The forbidden fruit was not the apple.

They’re produced in the south of Guatemala , specifically in Chiquimulilla (Sta. Rosa), and they are called pipΓ­an caguama, a variety between guicoy (squash), and guisquil (chayote) and commonly known simply as cok.
